Getting Involved
Service to my community, in the various forms that may take, is an essential building block for me towards maintaining a fulfilling and effective life.
With the platform of one hundred guys and a university logo, albeit with a limited fan base :), I spearheaded a new fundraiser in collaboration with the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh to bring a group of children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses to a day of fun via a photoshoot with the team. The photos culminated in the making of a calendar sold to family members and the fan base. All proceeds went to the Hospital, and since its inception every year since has taken on the challenge, and succeeded in, raising more money than the previous year's team!
Informative Paper to Congressman Doyle to highlight the tribology issues within the wind turbine industry for support in his passing of a Tribology Bill through congress.
Warrior 5K
Participating in multiple 5K's have been a fun way to test my athletic limits while supporting causes I find value in. The Warrior Music Foundation below is one example.
